Right click on the ScanSnap Manager icon at the bottom right of your computer screen, go to "Scan Button Settings"

Then, go to the tab that says Paper. If you don't see it, click on details at the bottom left.

In paper, change multifeed detection to Check Length or None instead of Ultrasonic Sensor.

If this works, then the ultrasonic sensor on this scanner has failed. The only function is it detects if multiple pages go through at the same time by listening to the vibrations. Your scanner can still scan fine without it.

The nice thing is that you can simply change the guide to use it and stop it in the same function. The straight paper path makes it very easy to scan most documents mechanically. Here you can also find things that might be useful for you.

To scan a document into the computer you have to start the scan from the manager on the computer ...and there for you need it installed if you do not have it ..The button on the scanner will not send the scanned result to the computer ...but if you choose the job from the desktop command ..
so the printer/scanner utility ..choose scan ..and the mode document or picture..and proceed..
it will ask you where to save it ..or auto place it in the my documents /my scans
If you do not have the complete software is the download support on the site of the manufacturer and you can get the full version from there ..
get the download form ..fill it up ..and get the snap scan manager ..and use it ...if you have it ..just open it and make the scanning from there ..

My scanner is Fujitsu M4097D. I just have problem with ADF: Error Code DS32002: Paper jam in the ADF. Here is my solution: 1. Bend two white platin pieces down a little bit in order to "sensor" the paper scanned. This problem is occurred after I am scanning 50 thick pages. Until paper count 42, it is stopped with error code DS32002. Hope help anybody having this problem.

Fujitsu recommends that you change the Pick roller every 100,000 sheets and the Pad Assembly every 10,000 sheets, so maybe best solution for you is to order Fujitsu Maintenance Kit. Below are two links with that product:

Unplug the USB cable and delete the software.

Reinstall the software but don't plug the scanner in until the software tells you to.

As per your instructions i have Uninstall every driver/software that is associated with the printer after computer has been restarted, install the printer driver afresh and connect the printer to the compute it works but after sometime it shown again same error

Probably not. I'm assuming you are referring to multiple-choice surveys with "fill in the bubble" responses. You would need a special piece of software to do so, and those pieces of software almost always require a specific, special model of scanner. They're also quite expensive.

If you're collecting data for a study (which I have done many times), you may be better off using an online collection method. I use Survey Monkey (link) which offers a free service for relatively small survey projects, is easy to set up and use, and provides data compilation.

Otherwise, I think you're going to be relegated to reading the response sheets and entering the data manually. Even if you use an online method, you may wish to supplement that with paper forms for those who don't participate online.
