Program termination suddenly pops up while playing

you wont be able to play .iso files(games in the iso folder) because you updated to Sony's official firmware. but in order to play .iso files again you will have to hack you psp and make sure its running cfw(custom firmware).

There are several models for the PSP 2000 slim versions that are stable and can play ISO games without the need for Pandora batteries but may need to install a custom firmware such as Gen C. It may vary as to what version is best for your unit. I would recommend a Gen C 5.03 firmware or home brewed programs. You can download this online.
NOTE: Do not install/alter programs on your PSP unless you have the know-how. If you do take the risk, ALWAYS READ AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY or you will suffer the risk of "bricking your PSP".

get a game umd

insert it in the psp

it will autorun

play the game.

OR

if u wanna play games saved on a memory card, then change the firmware to a custom one for ur psp to get those games working

My son has a PSP and the he went to play it today, but the system is not registering that there is a game. What should I do to fix it

the PSP has to be hacked in order for you to play downloaded games. If you get a magic memory stick and a pandora battery it can be done easily even with the 5.50 firmware version. Google pandora battery, and magic memory stic or (psp mmj tutorial) and you get lots of good info.

HELLO! There's no need to downgrade ur PSP. If u have upgraded ur PSP from the official site and a official firmware has been installed on to ur PSP, it won't execute games(ISO,CSO) from ur memory stick. It will only run games from the UMD. If u want to run ur games from a memory stick u have to install a CUSTOM FIRMWARE. Try www.psp-hacks.com these guys have many softwares on their site. Dont worry its not that hard to put a Custom firmware onto ur PSP.

try different games or playing the game with the PSP in diferent positions, ex upside down, sideways...
and let me know if it works. If it does something is lose inside, if it does not the laser reader or LCD casing must be replaced.

sertanly reset your psp this should solve the problem

check battery, run without the battery, using ac adapter, see if problem persists did you update psp firmware? if so, undo the update, go back to previous firmware version
