The Aiptek web site only has an XP-compatible driver for this camcorder. For later OSes, they rather unhelpfully suggest you run their drivers in Compatibility Mode, which is not so awesome if you're running a Windows 7 OS OTHER than Professional, which is the only version with XP compatibility.
Sorry, but those are the same drivers they've always offered. The driver offered for this camera doesn't work with Windows 7, and Aiptek has been pretty straightforward in saying they have no intention of updating it.Sorry, but those are the same drivers they've always offered. Note:You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed to view PDF files. The reader is a free plug-in available at the Adobe web site. Use the link below to download the driver: http://manuals.xtreemhost.com/dw/DZO-V58N.zip Note:Unzip the file using Winzip or Winrar.
You need a Win7 64bit compatible driver. I've had a look at the aiptek website, couldn't find one for you, so suggest you contact their support techs and ask them. Good luck.
aiptek web site has a driver solution for vista users I had same problem but with Win XP it keep seeing it as a flash drive .... I uninstalled drivers and re-installed them,- same error, then uninstalled again and removed the USB from device manager uninstalled direct X cause it was the newest version, then install everything from scratch without turning the camera on then try again and nothing, finally I turn to the manual and somewhere says "if you need to use it as web cam then press the menu button on the camera and select camara!!! as soon as I did that and additional port found in windows was detected and installed automatically then I got my video and microfono up and running. So easy right, but like always the software CD is missing the manuals too and people do not read. LOL .....
Hi, the first site seems to have a one fits all aiptek driver. The second aipteks home, suggests that you shouldn't need one as it is plug and play. Have you deleted files you shouldn't from the camera?

Install the driver software on your system. If you don't have it, you can download it from aiptek.com under the support tab.
If you have windows vista be sure to set the setup.exe compatability to windows xp before trying to install. (Right click on setup.exe, go to 'compatability' tab, set to windows xp, click ok.) If you already installed it on vista without setting the compatability just run the setup again and choose the 'remove' option, then reinstall it with the correct compatability.
Once the drivers are correctly installed a shortcut should be added to your desktop labeled "DV TS". You can open this to check that the driver is working properly. Be sure to have plugged your camera in through the USB port next to the SD card slot.
At this point if everything has gone well, then you should be able to select it as a video source in whichever Instant Message program you choose to use. Providing that program supports webcams.
-Refer to the IM program's help file for instructions on how to select a video source / web cam.
The following drivers are supposed to work on Vista, they are not from manufacturer. If this driver does not work on Vista, then the camera is not Vista compatible:
