Why is my LG washer/ front loader Model (WM2233HS) (3 years old) taking forever to wash clothes on speed wash? It usually takes 30 minutes and has been going for over an hour (and I have been timing and watching it vary closely.) The display says it has 10 minutes left and has said 10 for the last 50 minutes. I have checked all the settings and they are normal with no extra rinse or anything and set to speed wash. It has a 3-4 inch layer of foam in the window. It does spin and I can hear it running water for a few seconds at a crack. I did check to see that it is draining a little. It seems like it is stuck in a cycle of fill for 15 seconds, wait, spin a little at medium speed, quick drain maybe 15 seconds and repeat. Is their some maintenance like cleaning a filter or something I should be doing?

Hi,
The newer washers are much more gentle on your clothing, but they also take their time to do the job...
Yes, it can be a pain to have it take so long but your clothing will love you for it and will stay nice for you longer...you will also be using less water...

Not much you can do about it as the engineers that know all are the ones that program these things...

I have Maytag Neptune front loader washer. When

Hi.

Error LR means Locked Rotor.

Either the motor is faulty, there is a wiring problem, or the control assembly is faulty.

Try tripping the circuit breaker to reset the machine, if code comes back a technician must have a look at the motor.

Which is better a top loader or front loader washing machine?

Front Loading Washing Machine: Fully automatic.
1. Better washing than toploading as technologically proofed.
2. No extra effort except putting cloths and detergent inside.
3. No need to observe in between while washing. Start and forgot. You can go market and come back.
4. No issue if electricity or water went out during washing.
4. Take more water compare to toploading semi-automatic.
5. You can not open it once it started.

Top Loading Washing Machine: Semi
1. Save water and detergent.
2. Need extra effort to put the cloth from one box to another.

The washing detergent doesn't wash out of the clothes it leaves marks on the fabric. what is wrong?

Too many clothes in the load , reduce by 25%

Switch to an old fashioned soap powder that has more agents in it to help it dissolve

Front-load washer doesn't clean!

I don't know anyone who thinks the front loader is better except for stacking things on top of...

Certainly the performance of the modern water-saving front-loader is questionable when compared to earlier models - which is why I think a wash takes much longer these days with a modern machine, I think it has to in order to be effective. My friend's new front loader can take a couple of hours to complete a programme and it is only a washer and not a waser/drier.

The older washers used to take everything that could be pushed inside and the laundry would emerge smiling. These days overloading is a complete taboo and should be weighed to ensure nothing is strained.

Your washer might have a fault but in the final analysis you made a contract with a retailer to, in return for a consideration, supply you with a washer to clean your laundry. The supplied washer doesn't clean the laundry in spite of your best efforts and that means the retailer has broken the contract. It is up to him to sort matters out to your satisfaction.

Clothes are not clean How can I take washer aprt to clean soap dispenser???

Make sure you are washing at the correct temp, and that you have the correct prog selected for what you are washing. and that you have suficient powder and or detergent in. Check to see if the water is getting hot, because if it is not , then the heater may not be working, and then your clothes will not be clean.
Hope this helps with your prob.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

Walking Washer

due to weight and normal motion during wash/spin a very sturdy floor is necessary under front loads also some floors are a little slick and sliding may occur ck for weak floor and maybe some kind ok rough cushion under feet to reduce sliding also if on pedistals even more vibration may occur be sure all screws in pedistal are secure usually 4 from top onto bottom of washer also adj legs to lower unit as close to floor as possible and tighten lock nuts
