I put my oven on broil and nothing happened. Now the oven does not work at all even though the digital display seems to work.. I can program the oven but the oven does not heat up. The stove top burners work fine.

Maytag precision touch control 500

Either both bake and broil elements are burnt out (highly unlikely) or your control / clock may be bad. Also check to be sure you have 220v going to unit.

Temp probe indicator stays on

sounds like your probe connection may be shorted. Can you inspect the probe itself, and perhaps do a test for continuity with an ohm meter? Also, you might be able to disable the probe in the menu settings, and run it on manual, just for a test.

Do you still have the user's manual for this unit?

Whirlpool super capacity 465

Seems the thermostat is malfunctioning...thus when baking at 500..thats quite high...it keeps getting hotter past that point to where the oven thinks its in self cleaning mode. Also seems like the problem because when it cools down your allowed to use it again. There is no way to test it with an ohmmeter. Just remove and replace.

My whirl pool oven is heating even though it has not been turned on. Seems to be from the upeer element.

Sounds like the broil relay on the control board is welded shut. The board can be rebuilt at www.fixyourboard.com

Oven won't heat, display out, gas burners on stove

Hello, you will probably need to pull it out and put it on something. Make sure the breaker is off to it before you test it. There is a thermostat in the very back that could be bad, check for continuity on that. Also check for continuity on the bake and broil element terminals itself, even though you have checked it to ground. If those check good, then the problems is in the control board.
Thanks
