The problems ur tv having it is call a convergence problems,it dead.Very common problems,for old DLP tvs design.Tv have colors lines R,G,B mis alignments,have colors shadows pictures or 3D pictures look alike?Yes,than tv covergence board is dead.Tv convergence board require changes 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all of it resistors too.To fix the tv convergence board to solved the tv convergence picture problems.The shop,will cost u like $300-350 for parts and labors.

Double picture symptom shows tv got problem with convergence out section and most probably convergence out chips would be replace to fix this issue.
Though its job of qualified tv tech to replace convergence out chips yet I can provide you helpful info if you are handy with electronics stuff repair and can replace parts in circuit board as soldering work is needed with proper tools to repair tv.

you have bad convergence chips, 2 of them stk392-570, you must pull the board out and older in the chips, you probably need a tv repairman.

STKs or HV Splitter block.

To connect a PS3 for the best picture possibe is definitely HDMI. It carries both audio and video in the highest quality possible.

The picture tubes are on there way out. turning down the screen control inside the tv sometimes gets a little more time out of it

There are resistors that need changing and maybe small fuses.

The screen with the "swirls" on it is the fresnel lens and that is the one that goes in back then the lenticular lens goes next (it has the feel of a grid to it). Then the screen proetector goes on the very front. The fresnel lens only works installed one way. On Sony TV's look for the orange tag with the part number on it and put that to the lower right facing outword and usually 99% of the time this is how they go back in.
