The tv have a problems known as a convergence problems,it dead.The tv have any colors lines R,G.B mis alignment,picture have colors shadows or 3D pictures.The tv convergence board the 2 STK convergence ICS and some or it resistors are dead.These parts on the tv convergence board,must be replaced to solved the tv convergence problems.The shop,will cost u $300-350 for parts and labors.
in the power supply there are a couple of fuses they are either green or yellow they look like resisters check them with your meter one of them is going to be open replace both.
the model number KP-51WS510 deosnt use a bulb or lamp. and touching the face of the lamp will not cause color problems in the picture. if your tv is an LCD projection then i would suspect the optical engine as the culprit. to check when you turn the tv off do you still see the blue distortion? if so then you have a bad optical engine.......as long as it is an LCD projection.
youll need to replace the stk ics inside the tv. they are easilly found by looking for two larg heat sinks. im pretty sure sony runs stk392-510. you will have to look at the ics to verify.
may have bad convergence amps stk392-560 board location Ic8001 Ic8002 or the dcu unit is bad or the alignment drifted off and it needs service adjustments made to it.
