There are inputs on the back of the set. If your tv is Sony 51ws510 then it is capable of HD, but you have to have component or DVI cables to connect the tv to the HD device (HD cable box or DVD player).

On your set the component inputs on the back of the tv are video5 and video6 in the middle located in a vertical line (red, green, blue rca video connections with red and white rca audio connections).

You also have a DVI input toward at the top of the input panel (white connector with red and white rca audio connectors).
You need a Sony original remote--even a Sony universal will not access the menu.
With the Sony remote (Almost any Sony projection remote will work) you can adjust in the customer mode or enter the TECH menu for fine adjustment all over the screen.
If you get one and do not know how to enter the TECH menu--let me know and I will tell you how to do it and adjust there.

This is a convergence problem that can be as simple as poor solder connections at the convergence ICs to defective ICs. Can you solder? If so, let me know and I'll provide additional instructions.

location listed is, "T8005 is faulty (D board)". T8005 is the fly-back
transformer assembly.
