Bosch classixx wash and dry - washing machine works fine but dryer does not start and door light does not go out?

if the door light is not going out it is an indication that the door switch is not working. this would also cause it to not run because it thinks the door is still open.

Bosch Dryer WTL 5410 UC do nothing after selecting a program and hitting the start button. The only thing that happens is that the Drying light lits and nothing else happens. I have tried to hit start...

Door switch may still be your problem. Mine showed lights as if working when closed but I decided to use a screwdriver and push in switch all the way in. It worked then without door closed. It will stay stuck until you pull it own a bit to release it. Give it a try. The door switch appears to have two switches in it requiring it to be all the way in.

Power is on, lights are on, put it to a setting and hit start and nothing happens no water(water is on) no spinning and no drying. Have checked all the hoses and cleaned the filter.

I sometimes get this happeing if the door doesn't close and seal. If you can open the door then this is the issue. THe door should seal and won't open when you hit start. Try opening and closing the door tightly

Dryer wont start,

HI, check the following to address this issue.

1. No power to the dryer
Make sure there's power getting to the dryer. Check for a tripped circuit breaker or a blown fuse. Check the wall socket for power with a voltmeter or by plugging something else in.

2. Door switch / Door switch actuator lever
The dryer will not start with a broken door switch. Replace the door switch if found defective.

Most dryers have a door switch actuator lever - when you close a dryer door, it presses against the lever, which actuates the door switch. If the lever is broken, the switch would not activate and the dryer would not start. Replace the lever, if broken.

Note: Door switch actuator lever usually comes with the door switch assembly and it is recommended to get the whole assembly since there is almost no price difference between the door switch assembly and just the lever. Check your model for more details.

3. Thermal fuse
Most dryers have a thermal fuse, which burns out when the dryer overheats, in which case the dryer will either not run at all or stop heating. The fuse is usually located on the vent duct, inside the dryer. A blown fuse will show no continuity when measured with a meter. Before replacing the fuse, make sure the blower wheel is not broken or clogged, and there is nothing blocking the venting.

Note: It is recommended by most dryer manufacturers to replace a hi-limit thermostat when replacing a thermal fuse.

4. Timer
Replace if defective (note: uncommon problem).

**The most common issue here will be a defective Thermal fuse

I press the start button, the light goes on but nothing happens

I had the same problem. It is the door latch. It cost about $150 to fix. I can't believe the tech didn't know it. It is very common for Bosch Dryers after about 3-4 years old.

Bosch axxis wtl 5400 dryer

I found that the dryer will not start because the door isn't fully closed. My wife has basically split the plastic door a bit, but if you firmly close the door, it will start.
