I have a wheelwriter 3000. I'm typing info in blocks. My typewriter is set for line space 1. I want to type exactly in the middle of the preprinted box, if I use the line up or down key, this will not get me lined up exactly, to much spacing. Is there a way you can use the line up and down key that will do a 1/2 space, so when I use the up or down key I will have the same setting all the time. I don't have a carriage handle that I can move around. I do have 1/2 space key, but it will only let you do one letter at a time not a word, when you type one letter the carriage will jump back down.

Hold the code this makes the index a micro index for fine spacing.

Thank you. I also found out if you hit the paper up or down key without the code this will do 1/2 line spaces. :)

We have ibm wheelwriter 3000. When typing it makes a beeping noise. Tried to release margins, but still beeps

If it beeps on every key stroke try code "S" If it beeps once in a while it may be the spell check code "1" will turn that off. If it always beebs at the same place the R. margin is probably set there. Space all the way to the R. and press R. mar key.

Will not type

If the 1, 2, and 3 line space keys are flashing in order, you need to change the two AA batteries that are located inside your typewriter.
