Hi

When I play back recordings from my hard drive the picture is 'stretched' vertically. I've checked the settings and all seems to be in order. I'm stuck! can you help, please? Thanks

Hi there, My sony rdr hx510 will not open and is making a grinding rotating sound. Baby girl either put 1 one or 2 discs in incorrectly. Can you advise on how I can get it opened and renove the discs.

Must used a philip screw driver take out all the screws to the dvd player.Must take the DVD player aparts.Take aparts out the dvd player guard shield to the dvd drive to take out the dvd dic or dics out.Don't push the open button any more, the disc or discs is jamming ur dvd door tray. Will burn out ur disc tray motor,if u keep trying push the open button, trying opening it that way.

What is the type number for sony rdr-hx520 laser pickup unit? It's a hardisk/dvds recorder. not the laser but the whole pickup unit is broke. i want to replace it. what is the typenumber?

If the DVD asembly is the same as for model RDR-HX510, the part number is 1-797-247-12 and costs: $358.56 with a refund of $145 upon the return of the defective unit. Pricing was from tritronicsinc.com a Sony parts distributor. (I could not find a listing for the HX520 model)

Hope this helps.

Dark horizontal lines on Sony KLV-26HG2 LCD TV screen

Hello,

If you can fix it by yourself, there is a problem in horizontal circuit panel, you need to check that in series because the part appear visbly good but when tested by the exact tester you register busted. that should be replaced immediately. Check also the vertical panel parts of the circuit. but if hard you do the job you may consult the service center of your TV or the vendor of the TV.

ps. please don't rate me if you are not convince of my suggestion.

best regards, melnavz

SONY RDR-HX510 DVD RECORDER

Most likely the hard drive is faulty, or it may need resetting/ formatting.
Chances are that the HD has gone.

Sony rdr-hx510

HOLD THE BLUE HDD BUTTON ON THE FRONT PANEL FOR MORE THAN 10 SECONDS TO REFORMAT THE HARD DRIVE. THIS INFORMATION IS AT THE BACK OF THE USER MANUAL BUT MAY NOT CURE THE FAULT.
