I have a Sony KLV-26HG2 LCD TV connected to a Sony RDR-HX510 DVD recorder & also a Sony freeview box. Over the last few months two dark horizontal lines have appeared on the screen. They are not solid and are not always visible, depending on the picture background. I have cleaned all connections without any effect. Any help would be appreciated.

If you can fix it by yourself, there is a problem in horizontal circuit panel, you need to check that in series because the part appear visbly good but when tested by the exact tester you register busted. that should be replaced immediately. Check also the vertical panel parts of the circuit. but if hard you do the job you may consult the service center of your TV or the vendor of the TV.

i have the same problem in the same model.
i have try the white screen retention fix for 4 hours and nothing.
i also unplug all cables and no fix.
i think that the problem is getting more visible day by day.
i will try to call for service if the cost is low.
in secret service menu (i-5-volume up-tv on) says that the working time until now is 10000hours.
are you call the service?
I get this problem also with the same model. I believe the back light is failing and to replace it would not be cost effective.
