A suggestion for your question. First make sure your TV is synchronized with your cable company account. Then go into the Guide Plus+ and go to settings. From there you can locate audio or remote settings to manage them there. Take time to look thru the Guide Plus+ menu, where you can find where you can turn on or off your Guide Plus+ screen, Its in there.
To fix mine, all i did was turn the volume on the tv to zero, then on the tv set itself, hold down the volume down button and on the remote control hold the number 4 button down both at the same time for 2 seconds. The screen will say "initialization of factory dvd data." and my dvd player started playing my dvd's no problem. I wasn't able to set the region code to a specific number like some people need, but maybe the answer to that question is some where else in the manual I posted above. I've spent too much time on this already :-D Hope this was a help and good luck!
If you want to erase the lock pattern you'll have to hard reset the phone but this will erase everything including contacts, downloaded contents and settings.
With the phone turned off, press and hold the VOLUME UP and VOLUME
DOWN buttons, then press the END/POWER button shortly and release it.
