How is the HP Officejet Pro L7555 connected to the computer? Can you manually launch a scan from the computer using the HP software?

If you can start a scan from the software, you may need to set the software to listen and respond to the all-in-one's buttons. In Settings, choose Scan Settings. In this menu, select Scan To Setup. Add the needed buttons. Click Update device and set the scan quality/destinations. Save this. If these short-cuts are available in the HP Solution Center, check if the monitoring software is set to run automatically. If the monitor is closed, you will need to launch it.

If you can't launch a scan from the software manually, then your computer and the all-in-one are not communicating properly. Scanning requires bi-directional communication. If the connection involves a USB cable, try a new cable. Try a direct connection if you are using a USB hub. For a network connection, check your firewall (inbound and outbound traffic). Resetting the firewall will depend on that software. Check that you have the current drivers. Consider using the HP diagnostic software to check for problems.

I hope this helps.

SOURCE: scanning

Many issues are caused when the HP All-in-One is connected to the computer using a USB cable before the HP All-in-One software is installed on the computer. If you connected the HP All-in-One to your computer before the software installation screen prompts you to do so, you must follow these steps: Troubleshooting common setup issues 1. Disconnect the USB cable from the computer. 2. Uninstall the software (if you have already installed it). 3. Restart your computer. 4. Turn off the HP All-in-One, wait one minute, then restart it. 5. Reinstall the HP All-in-One software. CAUTION: Do not connect the USB cable to the computer until prompted by the software installation screen.

SOURCE: HP OFFICEJET 5610V No scan options

If you get the error while trying to scan with your HP 5610v All-In-One, the easy way to scan from your printer is to click on start, go to Paint and then File, the option "From Scanner or Camera" will come up.. click there and poof - you can scan anything you want and save it where you want... Problem solved!! good luck!!!

How do i set up scan features

You need to go the HERE. It is the software and drivers page for your printer. Select your operating system. Then download the "FULL FEATURE SOFTWARE2_bing.gif AND DRIVER".

This should get you scanning2_bing.gif from the button.

A work around is to scan from within HP Solutions Center.

Good Luck!

Just installed HP p6240f desktop with Windows7. Downloaded drivers for HP Officejet 7310 All-In-One Printer. Printer Staus Ok; printing from PC files Ok; printing from HP Solution Cenmter ok; cannot scan...

First, I thought your assistance center would respond to my request since this same problem appears in the HOP website problems & solutions.
I did not resolve the problem after downloading the All In One Series software. It failed to complete the installation after hours of loading.

I did my own tasking and found that I could resolve my oproblem by Control Panel - Devices (printers) - HP 7130 Officejet-Scan Document.
It worked.
Savuing the scanned document is quite different in this Windows7 setup from the prior XP. It is more circuitous to get to where I want to place the file.

When I try to scan, it reads "No Scan Options".

Try scanning from the solution center. If successful, check the scan button settings if you can see applications available on the 'Destination List'. Add all the application to the right side. Close the solution center and try to scan.

Hp officejet j5780 all in one

Does it give a message as No Scan Option...?

If you are getting this message when you are trying to scan from the All-In-One.
And If the software is successfully installed in your computer, then you should have a icon in your desktop as HP Solution /HP Director (if not got to Start> All Programs>
HP> HP Solution Center)/HP Director Then try scanning from there, if you are able to scan from there then try the steps bellow.
Open solution center> Settings> Scan settings> Scan to setup> Then in this window click on Restore defaults> Then apply or ok and close all the windows and try to scan from the
All-In-One printer.
If it still does not work then try the bellow steps:
Go to:
My computer>C:windows>system32
Copy hpzipm12
minimize this window
Right click on Start button on the computer>Explore>Programs>Startup>edit>paste
minimize this window.
Go back to My computer>C:>windows>system32
Copy hpzinw12
minimize this window

Right click on Start button on the computer>Explore>Programs>Startup>edit>paste
Now you will see two new files in Startup
Now go to My Computer>C:Program Files>HP>Digital Imaging>bin>
Copy hpqtra08
close this window
Right click on Start button on the computer>Explore>Programs>Startup>edit>paste
Restart the computer
Open Hp Solution Center> Settings>Scan settings and preferences> Scan to button>
check destination list> if available applications are not in the destination list then add them in the front panel destination
Tried to scan.

And if you do not have the software insatlled completly and sucessfully then you need to install the All-In-One Printer driver and software first
