Yes you need to reinstall the drivers.Do you have a install cd?If so run the cd and reinstall the drivers.If you dont go to the manufacturers website search for the drivers usually under support section.

IF U HAVE deleted the sound card drivers from ur system two ways 1. REINSTALL THE motherboard chipset drivers cd that u got when u purchased the PC.... it will surely resolve the problem 100% OR
I WOULD RECOMMEND to install mother chipset driver CD available to u If u dont have it then goto the above link and match which hardware u have in ur system for sound card and install the selective sofware... Take care and best of luck Waiting for ur reply
