I have a problem lining up red and blu converence . i tried auto and that didnt either. i read somthing about a fl231 fuse but dont where or what it is
If you can line up any then the fuse is not the problem
if you dont have the convergence option in the setup menu it is fuse. DO you have any convergence at all.... sound like it. then this may be a convergence amp board problem. does the cross hair move at all or only up and down or left to right.

replace the 2 convergence STK IC BEFORE replacing the IC make sure that all the pico resistor are not open check the resistance with an multimeter replace any open reading resistor.replace also all bulging capacitors on the convergence section...good luck let me hear how it goes.
ok you need to "comverge the set" try go into setup in customer menu and use the convergence options. DO you have the convergence option? if you dont you might have the fl231 problem. if you do not have that option read fl231 problem in tips and howto section....http://www.fixya.com/support/r1062030-fl231_problem_convergence_not_in
do these appear around the images on the screen? look like a horizontal ghost around the image. if so you have lost horiz.convergence on the red. you might try a auto convergence setup in the menu on most rear proj. tv's if this dosent work then you need to try and find a shop.
first question is the picture also bowed in on top and bottom. if so you may have the common fl231 fuse problem if you do consult the fl231 problem under the tips and tricks section. if you dont then you defently hav a convergence issue. the thing to look for is under setup do you have the autoconvegence option if you dont then you have that problem.
You have what is known as covergence problems. Ok to begin with. 1 Go into customer menus goto SETUP do you have the "CONVERGENCE" option. If you do not the the likelyhood is you have the fl231 fuse problem and if you can solder and get it i recomend it a simple repair. ok if you have that option then try going in and autoconvergening if that didnt work try manual the red and blue convergence. if in the manual red and blue the crosshair didnt move then you probably have convergence power board problem if only one moved or just move a up and down or left of right then it might be a amp board issue. the other problems it could need a simple factory alignment.
green is fixed so you have to move red and blue to green.
by using the remote you may find a simple converge function and open this and using arrow keys move the blue or red first to center of screen, repeat for other color you should see the lines moving toward a a white center point.
if the lines do not move with remote try manual ...menu on the set. if still no movement you have a problem on the convergence board and need a tech to fix.
A service manual will explain complex convergence to the detail .
but this might take hours to get it right.
maybe on your remote press menu and find converence and use the keys to move the red first over the green then move the blue over the yellow ..by standing back and just using the remote....should end up with white lines.
and dont hit that button again once set.
a tech should do this quickly and charge you minium.
my convergance control is gone and the pic is shape like a hour glass.
