Does my tomtom one have a window showing truck routes

Assuming you already have specified where you wish to go, and the device shows the map (of your current location) on the screen,
you can touch the screen to see the MENU screen ... then look for (on the Menu screen) a browse map option, and you'll see the route (to your destination) displayed.
If you're looking for a list of turn by turn text instructions, e.g. turn right to XXXX street, go for NN miles, etc. you may not find it displayed on your TomTom device.

none. just turn it on, if no route is planned it will just show where you are and whats ahead

Most GPS devices (All Garmins) have a "cancel routing" or "Stop Current Route" button on the menu. I have a menu page that offers - recalculation, cancel or Add a route. You should too!

The TOM TOM One manual says

Start-up preferences
This button may only be available if all menu options are shown. To show all
menu options, tap Show ALL menu options.
For more information, see Hidden buttons and features on page29.
Tap this button to set what your ONE should do when you first switch it on. The
following options are available:

Continue where I left off - your ONE starts as it was when you switched it off.

try uninstalling the home program and then reintalling the home program again....first follow www.tomtom.com/9545 do FULL uninstall
then www.tomtom,.com/5122 to install home program again

Truck routes are not possible....the unit is designed for everyday road to road navigation only...

what model is it the 700 does not have truck routes, how ever if you keep it set to fastest route that should keep you from getting stuck in a tight spot.

There is a new feature with tom tom called Map share. Check to see if this is available on this model. Basically it enables other users to post new directions and updates the device for you.
