Sounds like the amp in the speakers has a problem. First thing to do is try the speakers on another PC, or an MP3 player etc. If the speakers work for this then they're OK.

If they don't work for this (more likely) you should buy a new set of speakers, considering the small cost of replacement.

There are 2 volume controls on the audio output in windows 7. one is the system volume the other is the device volume. make sure that they are both at full and then control the sound volume on your speakers.

After pairing it, have you tried to go to your sound settings in Control Panel and selecting the bluetooth device as your standard sound device?

The left speaker or controlling speaker has no ... very little sound.. the right one is working. I have them hooked up to a computer with the earphone jack which splits into right and left jacks.

Right click on your volume icon at the taskbar, & open your volume control. Check if the Master Volume - "balance" is at the center!!

Check your speaker connecting cables are securely plug in.

Hope it helps.

It shows the speakers are on but no sound

If you have an extra headset around, plug it into the same place the speakers are plugged into, if it works, your speakers are bad (or check to make sure the power light is on on them and that their volume knob is turned up).
If you still do not get sound, click on your little volume/speaker icon by your clock, then click 'mixer' at the bottom of it (Windows 7 hopefully?). Make sure the different volume controls are turned up because sometimes one low one will affect the entire system.
(If Windows XP, right-click the speaker, then 'Open Volume Control'. Adjust until you hear sound.)

My advueu monitor has built in speakers which are not working now. do not know what is wrong

First--have the speakers worked before? If so, be sure the speaker wire is plugged into the green hole on the back of the computer and also plugged into the monitor.
Is there a volume control on the monitor? If so, be sure it's turned up.
Are you speakers muted? Check in the sounds icon in the control panel (there could also be a little picture of a speaker in the system tray. Many times people mute the speakers and forget they did it.
Also in the sounds area of the control panel, be sure the volume is turned up.

Laptop speakers are not working. no sound comes out

Go to Control Panel, look for sound, choose internal speakers. Do you have a little speaker icon down on the lower right of your screen in the task bar? If you do click on it, and turn up volume.

I've tried three different sets of speakers and each time the left speaker will not work. I've also tried plugging in my headphones and my left headphone wont work. I've checked all the volume controls and...

Well the jack you plug in has three surfaces. So when you pulled it part way out then the left speaker part of the plug came in contact with the right speaker contact inside the jack and it worked. Speakers are good so if you have checked your volume control in Windows and checked that the balance control is centered it could be that your sound card is defective. You didn't tell me what kind of computer you have and if the sound card is built into the motherboard or if it is an add on card. I don't know if you only have the Window's sound control in Control Panel or if your card has a seperate software for configuring your card but I think the only thing that might disable the left speaker has to be the balance control in Window's sound control or the seperate software.

Just reinstall the USB driver for this speakers, and enable sound on multimedia, NOT muted. pop up volume.
RMS speakers if problem continue.
