Firstly, I have to tell you that my English is not my first language, so excuse me if you have difficulty to understand me.
I live in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. I have a problem with my projection tv: I have the sound but not the image. When the power is on, at the back of the tv the color guns are red and green and there is a small orange light(LED), but the blue one doesn’t light up. It seems like some clear oily liquid have flew under the blue color gun. I think that the blue color gun has to be change, but I don’t know where to purchase one and how much it could cost. I think I would be able to do it myself, but I need to know if it would need an adjustment after.
Do you know where I can find a color gun? Can I purchase one by internet?

The blue CRT is leaking. This can be repaired by replacing the seal and installing new coolant. The coolant is corrosive and will cause solder deterioration but this is all fixable. I will post a link where you can get the servcie manual for your set which is a PTV840 Chassis. The site sells the service manual which they email to you right after purchase, and they provide free tech support that will help you each step of the way to repair your set, They also will have the new seals coolant and etc that you will need .Here is the link your manual is on page 2 of the phillips /magnavox catagory tittled PTV835-PTV855. Check this site for info on how work on this CRTs. The process of repairing a leaky CRT is not difficult but time consuming and yes you will need to make adjustments after changing or removing the CRT.
You might have to change the circuit board assembly that is connected to the blue color CRT, or you can use rubbing alcohol and a soft hog hair brush to clean it.

Excuse my English too. It sounds that the firmware to this TV has been corrupted by any way. A firmware update might be necessary. There is booting problem. option. The site is in English language, but have translation option, which can be pulled out from the right side of the display window.
firstly go into your control panel then click on Clock,Language and region next click region and language then click format a list should come up then select the language you want

The projection TV has 3 color guns that focus to produce a single image. The 3 colors are red, green and blue. It sounds like the blue gun went out. You should be able to remove the back panel of the TV. If doing so, use caution as there is a mirror attached to the back panel. Once removed, you can confirm that the gun is not working. The fix, unfortunately is neither easy nor inexpensive. The problem could be simply a poor connection to the circuit board up to needing the replacement of a new light or perhaps a new gun. Unfortunately, there is no magic button to press and nothing you are doing wrong. This is a very nice TV and it may be worth getting an estimate to repair it. Or, perhaps this is a good excuse to go out and get a new 50" plasma! Hope this helps. If you can think of anything else I should know, please comment.

in that list you have

language
voice commands
select language (5th in the list)
phone language is the first in the list
This is from my tomtom one (not sure what edition) so the page numbers refer to mine.
1.Touch the screen for the menu
2.on page 1 of 3 on the menu, touch the blue wrench (change prefs)
3.press the black right arrow key to page 4 of 7 in preferences and touch the flags icon
4.press your desired language

and also the user manual etc.
You probably have to uninstall the french version first before installing the english one, but make sure it downloads first in case there is a problem.
