Wired connection don't work, but wireless do.

My PC works fine with the wireless connection, but yet when I have my XBOX plugged in, or my other laptop directly into the router, I can't get connected to the internet.

I can not connect to xbox live. I just got the card today and im trying to hook it up, but it keeps saying "can not connect" go to support

It sounds like your internet connection is the problem. Ensure whether your internet is wireless or wired that it is connected properly.

If wired that it is plugged in both your xbox and internet modem, and that it is not the ethernet cable itself. (they can stop working for one reason or the other).

If wireless that your wireless adapter on your 360 is plugged in all the way and that the information in your xbox network settings is all correct.

Xbox live cannot connect to network

I would suggest power cycling it, both the xbox and the router, sometimes routers can be funny with there connections.

When i plug my wired remote into my 360 it lights up for a minute then goes off wireless works fine but it does this in both usb ports

As wireless works ok and you have the same problem with both USB ports then it's possible that the wired remote has a loose or broken connection wire.

This also happens with wired headsets, in many cases it means replacing the controller.

IP address

I had the same problem with my Xbox and Netgear DG834 v4 (wired) router. I bought a Belkin F5D7632 wireless router and that did not work either. I then bought an Xbox wireless adapter and it connected ok. I do not know why the wired connection does not work. The cable length is 10m.

Connection failed

Is the connection wireless or wired? wired it should work fine but if it is wireless you may need to re set up your router and or the wireless settings in your network settings.
