LCD coating needs to be replace or LCD REPLACED

Since you have little to loose you can attempt to remove the protective coating and not attempt to replace it with a substitute material. It's not required to operate but is intended to enhance viewing in certain light conditions. Might try a window cleaner with ammonia and a little "elbow grease". Remember though, your end result could be worse than what you have now if you're unable to completely remove the film or damage the JCD panel in the process.

I have a furuno fcv 582l. The unit has just come back from the factory and works well until I power up any other electronic equipment on the boat. Then it flickers and the screen goes dark. Any ideas?

You likely have inadequate supply to your helm. Otherwise, there is interference being generated. Try turning things on slowly one at a time, check your batteries and ground connections.

Can not get clear reading of bottom when travellling over 9 knots

Your in hull ducer is getting turbulence. (in hull or not) A transducer will stop working is the tiniest cabitation or air bubble interferes. If possible, relocate the ducer. If you have a transom mounted ducer, try angling the leading edge up. This is a 90 % chance caused by turbulence on ducer. The other possibility, al;though remote is that you alternator or ignition system is interfering after a certain RPM on the motor.
Try first to manually gain the FCV620. You will always need to manual gain set the unit if you have an in hull ducer.

May i upgrade furuno 1920 gps/ploter with radar

If it has a round radar plug in the back then the answer is yes and it already has radar support. However to upgrade your unit to the latest software you will need a dealer for that. It's a very tricky process and if not done properly, you can ruin the bootloader programming that starts the unit. I know of a dealer that does this if you want to check in with them. You can even send them the unit. Try www.mid-shore-electronics.com.

Data cards for Fununo 1850w

Furuno just stopped producing these models about a year ago. They use a special chart card. You can still purchase the cards from Navionics or C-map if you need to. I will tell you from experience that you should get your internal battery changed out if you havent done so already to keep from losing your settings and waypoints. The dealer will have to save them for you though and put them back on. Furuno made a GP7000 to replace this one and it's uses SDcards and is nothing like the rest of Furuno's product line. The best replacement for this unit is the Garmin GPSMAP 700 series. You can use your old furuno transducer if you have one (with an adapter plug). This garmin unit also has a built in GPS or you can use an external one. The 700 series will be shipped in April. Check out Garmin's website or mid-shore electronics.

Furuno 1621 radar will not power up

With a voltmeter, verify that you are getting 12V at the plug end of the power cable. If so, check the fuses (there should be one or two fuse holders on the back). If all of that fails you will need to send it in to Furuno for repair.

Trying to wire nav man gps imput into a 585fcv furuno echo sounder,i no the white wire of the nav man nmea output ,but what coulour wire is the imput for the 585,white and blue.but which one is the signal...

white and blue is correct, white is signal, but be aware that manufacturers screw this up all the time, so try it both ways, and look for pulsing data on digital meter measuring 12V, should see meter jump rhythmically, from 0 to 4-12V. Confirm presence of data to maintain sanity

Furuno gps gp 32

The only place to get that screen is through a Furuno authorized dealer. The unit is sealed and gas filled to remain waterproof. You're best bet would be to send the unit in to Furuno for repair. You wont save much doing it yourself because the cost of the screen makes up most of the cost of the repair. They will also make sure that all the software is up to date for the new WAAS satellites that recently went on line.

Have you tried adjusting the contrast? On that model I believe you tap the power key while the unit is on and you will see 2 sliding scales on the screen, one for brightness and one for contrast. Up or down arrows select the scale and left or right arrows adjust it. If the contrast and brightmness aren't tied into the power key on that model, they're somewhere in the set up menu.

If adjusting the contrast doesn't help then the screen has most likely failed. This is commonly caused by old age, however repeated exposure to extreme heat or cold can cause premature failure.
