I just had the same problem, I send it to Furuno and they fixed it. They changed. sparepart: 2000112625 a TD4013BGIC.

I have the same problem with my 1621 it was sent to furuno before xmas just found out that the unit is to old they now hold no spares the only way I could get it working was to heat it up with a hairdryer or leave it in the sun in the summer.

With a voltmeter, verify that you are getting 12V at the plug end of the power cable. If so, check the fuses (there should be one or two fuse holders on the back). If all of that fails you will need to send it in to Furuno for repair.

Need a schematic for a Furuno 1621 Mark-2 radar

It has been my experience that Furuno doesn't part with their schematics cheaply. If you contact their support department, they MIGHT sell you a schematic, going price is usually about $100. Here's a link to their support/forum page.

How do i reboot my furuno navnet......recently installed radar and system not recognising teh radar installatio. no count doen on radar page greyed out overlay icons on the screen
Press and hold the "MENU" button during power on. Release "MENU" after boat appears.
Go through the installation wizard. You must select the radar type, "B" is 1834.

Furuno radar 1621 do not show targets
You may have a faulty magnetron or one that has gotten old. They do have a life. Find out how many hours you have on the unit and give furuno a call. They will more than likely tell you what they think the problem is.

polarity is maked on the shield, on a sticker #1 is positive, #2 negative BTW, this is 48V DC (not 12V) supplied from a MFD8, MFD12, or MFDBB only.

My model 1621 radar will not power up
I had exact the same problem with my furuno 1621, Furuno in Netherlands also say needs new mother board (650 euro!)

Problem is fixed

Problem is not the switch, but an Elco on the mother board. it's the small elco on the Mother board Cost just a few cents!

I hope You can fix Your radar too.
