My top screen on my DS lite flickers and i was wondering if there is a way to DIY instead of sending it in

buy a new one for 30 bucks, Nintendo DS Lite Silver Game Handheld Console System Brand New

or both screens for 40 bucks, Nintendo 2DS LCD Screen Display Top Bottom Upper Lower Replacement

Open up the DS and then unseat and reseat the ribbon cable that goes to the screen.

Once you do that, turn on the DS and if the screen is still flickering then the screen will need to be replaced.

ur problem with top screen.the strip may be damaged change the top screen .

Go to the retailer you bought it from and if you bought it less than two years ago you can get a new one free with the exchange of the old one only if you have the warranty

Replace upper screen and the Upper front bezel.
Or replace the upper screen and the complete DS Lite Housing. You can find them on the well known auction sites. Please be aware that you must know what your are doing. If in doubt, send it to Nintendo or a local Nintendo repair service

No there isn't, you've been duped my friend (sorry to say). You need to send in the DS Lite because the electrical components for the touch screen are quite literally broken. Either that or you can... Pay for a new one...

Here's a mental note for later: Don't buy or trade electrical gadgets from non-reputable sources, this being your friends as well.

hey i think i got a solution, read the link i gave below credits to votahuan, its for adjusting screen flickers in both top and lower screen of ndsl, however i need you to do me a favor in return, hope you do not mind posting up the pics for me at [email protected] once you found the two hidden screw at ndsl, im just having hard time finding it in fat nds, so i need a rough i dea of where it mite be located. Have you dropped the console? has it been knocked? either the game card is faulty, or the screen is damaged in some way. Do not try to fix the screen by yourself, however, get someone who knows exactly what they're doing.
