Camera wont snap picture

As long as the orange light is on, the camera is not ready to make a picture. The focus area, should become green, to tell you the camera is in focus. Then you can press the shutter release button complete. Check the settings of the camera, and put it in automatic. When you put it in one of the manual modes pipe P M S or A, the camera will not take a picture when there is not enough lift or something else you did not take in account.
If the camera keeps this way, unless you switched to auto, it could be there is something going on. but let me know it auto des not work.

My Canon Rebel XS will not auto focus correctly. It sounds like it is trying to focus, but only flashes and will not focus or take the picture.

Those quick fast flashes usually mean the camera is trying to find contrast to take the photo but it can't. The scene might be to dark and the camera can not set it's focus and there for cannot take a picture. Move the camera slightly from left to right on the subject and see if it can manage to set focus. It's normal for the camera to give out these quick flashes as it is trying to find some sort of contrast in the subject, turning on a room light might help this?

Now when you manually focus, then the camera does not have to use it's built in auto focus sensor and will let you take a photo when you manually focus on the subject.

My rebel t3 doesnt always take a picture when i press the button. It will focus and re focus but wont snap the shot

That means that there isn't enough contrast in order for the camera to get a subject in focus properly, if you can set back a little more that can help. The other option would be to have the camera focused where you want and switch to manual focus (which will leave the focus the auto focus found) and shoot the picture.

My auto focus lenses have stopped foucusing. battery is fresh and auto focus is on. Is auto focus the lens or the cameraor both?

Go to your main menu and shop around, you'll find an option to "Reset to factory defaults" click that and you'll be all set.

My camera is blurry.. How do I make it clear?

make sure the lense is clear of any dust or dirt. before you take a picture make sure you press the shutter button halfway down for it to auto foucus. look for a setting that may turn auto foucus on and off, but most likely, there is no such option on this camera. otherwise there may be a problem with the camera. contact either olympus or where you bought it from (if under warrenty) or find someplace to check it out, such as geek squad.

My Nikon D40 doesn't focus not take pics

If it's under warranty, use the warranty. It takes my D40x about a half second to focus at most. I keep my camera in a dust proof case when not in use. I've had it for 2 years, it still works fine.

Camera will not take pictures

Check the Lens switch for A/M (auto/Manual focus), also check the front bottom right of camera, there is a switch, set it to AF also. Hope that helps

Pictures are blurry.

Try pressing the shutter button half way to let it focus before you shoot. You also may want to make sure the camera is in auto mode and not set to any particular setting.

Powershot S1 Digital Camera: Flash won't fire

Make sure the camera is not in Document mode . Document takes a picture with added contrast so text stands out. Make sure the camera is not set to Infinity focus . When you select Infinity Focus, the camera automatically turns off the flash and auto focus so you get sharp, clear pictures. Make sure the camera is set to Fill, Auto, or Red Eye flash. See your camera manual for details about setting the flash.
