I have this tv, and have had the EXACT problem. my solution was simple.
if you take the back cover off of the monitor, there are 2 boards on the outside edges of the left and right of the monitor. these boards are covered by metal shields. remove the 3 screws on each board shield and slide them off.(careful this can be tricky) on the boards are 2 capacitors that need to be replaced. 4 total, 2 on each board. the capacitors are 150uf at 35 Volts. go to your local electronics repair shop to get the parts and tools needed to do this repair.
make sure to get the polarity of these caps right. stripe side on cap goes to the minus. 1
excuse me i have the same problem and just read your solution but how do you get the capacitors out?
I ran into this solution and gave it a shot, I appreciate someone actually having a real solution (rather than "have you tried rebooting your TV"). The TV turned on the first time we hit power for about 4 days, then it started acting up again. I'm going to try and replace the capacitors again, but this time I'm using higher voltage 150uf 50V caps. If that doesn't work..time for a new TV.
