I load the disc in my player, and I get audio, but I get no picture. What am I doing wrong?

No help at all. That had already all been done before I asked about playing a disc on my DVD.

  • lowilli Mar 13, 2008

Everything is connected okay. I followed the directions (I thought) on how to play a movie on my TV screen through my DVD which is connected to the TV. I know the DVD is working, but I can get no picture, and wonder if I pushed the wrong buttons in the wrong order somehow. It has been a year since I have used it, and I have forgotten how I did it before.

I wish I could understand what you are asking? It doesn't make much sense to me. In what player? I have a new Sony Bravia HD TV, and the Zenith DVD player is hooked up to the TV (professionally), and I know I am supposed to enter something into the TV to get it to play my movies, but I have forgotten how to do this. I try and try, but have lost my instructions on the Sony. I go to V1, and put my movie in, but no picture, so I have forgotten something here.

I have a alpine car DVD player I can't get any sound but have the picture

Make sure that the television or and stereo receiver is not turned on to mute or the speakers are off settings. Ensure that the volume on the TV or the receiver is set up to an audible level. Try another disc in the DVD player and see if you get a picture on the screen if it works with another disc then there is something wrong with one of the DVD discs . Try using a different audio source through the television or the receiver

Player won't load any discs

I don't have a solution at this time. I have the same DVD player and mine stopped working this past weekend. It is doing the same thing as yours. I opened the case and loaded a disc and watched the mechanism. The disc won't spin. if you tap the disc it will start spinning and load and start playing. I thought I had fully fixed it. It will load most times but now the video and audio stutters as if the discs is spinning at varying rates.
