In play-back, buzzing/static after 10+ seconds of recorded message

In play-back, after about 10 or more seconds of a recorded message buzzing-static is audible simultaneous with the caller's message as it continues. Usually the buzz-static stops after another 5 to 10 seconds.

I resolved this problem some time ago (sorry to be so long in getting back on it).

I unplugged my answer machine from my computer's surge protector and simply plugged it into the wall a/c outlet. Problem solved!

  • doug38 Aug 24, 2009

I by-passed the surge protector, reconnecting the answer machine, and that fixed it. Thanks, all.

When turning the key of my 08 vauxhall zafira a buzzing comes from the cd player, the disc wont stay in or play yet after after 10-15 seconds it stops..radio plays fine also

The buzzing noise is static from the engine, if it does not make the noise when the key is on but engine not running. If so make sure you have a good ground. Most of the time I have found that to be the problem.
