I have the same problem with none of the phones having a dialtone (you can hear a beep beep beep when pickup)

before this happened, you could dial in to the phone buut it would only ring for a second then callers calling in would hear crackling - at the home you would hear nothing but when you picked up you could hear the other party. - this went on for about 24 hours then it went to calling the house you got a busy signal. outside at the box you do get a dial tone but not inside - a phone tech person wanted to know where the box for the phones was in the basement (drywalled) - there was never a box in the basement. any help would be great

I had the same problem. To fix it, I unplugged the base from the wall, and the battery from the handset, left it all unplugged for 30 seconds, and then replugged everything back in. It works fine now.

My phone dialtone is intermittent - how can I return it to normal. It was disengaged earlier and calls sent to mobile. The problem is now sorted but my landline phone is still intermittent.

Usually the dial tone Beep Beep Beep means that you have a voice mail. This is a service or feature that your phone company provides. Sometimes it just a matter of dialing your home number from your home phone and it will prompt you to listen to or erase your messages. If this is not the case, call your phone company and ask them about the feature.

Message light on Vtech cordless light won't stop blinking

The flashing message light may be telling you there is voice mail on your telephone line. If you have "home voice mail" or whatever your phone service provider calls their service, you're told of new message by a stutter dialtone. That is, when you pick up your phone to make a call, you hear two or three brief bursts of dialtone before it goes steady. Many new phone systems start flashing their message light when there are waiting messages so that you'll know about them if you don't pick up your phone. Follow whatever procedure your provider gives (usually you call a local access number) to pick up your messages, and that light should quit blinking.

My cordless phone base states in use when handset is on base. I also hear 3 beeps but no dialtone.

At first I thought maybe a modem problem but the 3 beeps???? I'm wondering if someone didn't hit the "HOLD" button accidentally. Most of the phone that offer the Hold feature can only be reverted by hitting the Hold button again. I'm not sure if this is the case with your phone but it's worth a shot. However, If that's not the problem and you do have phone service via modem, try re-booting your modem.

Hello, I have the Panasonic Cordless Phones, model # KX-TGA431CB. There are 2 phones and two bases. I cannot place a call from any of the phones and as far as I know, I am not receiving calls from them...

Sounds like it is not detecting any dialtone, can you find a regular corded phone and plug your line cord that is going into the cordless into it. See if you hear dialtone here.

No dialtone on handsets, 3 beeps sound

Deregistered 4 handsets, on suggestion from FixYa, by pressing hangup & # sign.
Then reregistered to base.

Handsets give 3 beeps, no dialtone

Either they are not powered up, or the mother has lost power.  Make sure the mother and children bases have power and leave the handsets in the bases long enough to charge.

Model 21518 GE Bluetooth Telephone Adaptor

I see the same thing and it appears that this is the way it works. Without the landline you will get the beeps but can still make and recv calls. After the beeps, dial #1#phone-number#, and it will call that number. Guess that is what they mean when say works without landline.
