This happened to me. What worked was turning off the ipod (not stand by mode). Turn it back on and plug it in, it should work.

How can i get my ipod working through the USB connection on Kenwood CD Receiver?

It looks only the U359 supports the iPod.
On page 7 of the manual where the USB connection is explained, only this number is mentioned.
The numbers are to the left of the front picture.
The manual is still online.

Kenwood cd player - Since i used an ipod, it comes up error 5, and wont let me play a CD in the car, or any other Ipod. Any ideas on how to reboot the player, or get it working.

Hi,
According to experts, error 5 on the player means that the player is reading the cd upside down or it cannot read the disc. you may need to run a cd cleaner ten check if it can read the cd again or if not you may need to take the player apart to clean it manually.
Cheers!!

I have a kenwood KDC-MP438U stereo. Ipod error.

Hi If anything the stereo was probably designed and tested using a certain version of the Iphones software, now that version 4 has been released the way the IPhone communicates may have changed.

As a result the stereo is no longer able to talk to the phone and vice versa. your probably best off contacting Kenwood direct to see if they are aware of this problem and if there is anything that can be done about it.

How i can attach mp3 or memory card with my kenwood player

Hi.

If the Kenwood is compatible with USB memory adapter, then you will have an USB port on the front side of the player, just aside the CD slot.

If the stereo is MP3 compatible, that does not mean that the unit is compatible with USB devices.
If the Kenwood is MP3 but not USB compatible, you can play MP3 files burning them onto a CD, then playing the MP3 CD in the CD player.

Regards.

What mp3 player will work in the usb port on the kenwood kvt-514?

You can put a USB thumb drive in this port, and it will play mp3 files from that drive.
You can also buy an iPod interface that will let you plug in an iPod or iPhone to the USB port.

How do i play my ipod? i have the plug and i plug it in and it dosent do anything.

ARE YOU USING THE USB OR JUST THE HEADPHONE SOCKET?
IF YOU PRESS THE SOURCE BUTTON IT WLL SEE THE UNIT ATTACHED UNLESS ITS THE USB PORT BEING USED, IN THAT CASE THE SOFTWARE IN THE KENWOOD IS NOT COMPATABLE WITH YOUR GENERATION IPOD
