Kenwood cd player - Since i used an ipod, it comes up error 5, and wont let me play a CD in the car, or any other Ipod. Any ideas on how to reboot the player, or get it working.

Just plug the cord into the front of the cd player where it says "AUX" and then plug the other end of the cord into the headphone / line out jack on any ipod or mp3 player then select "AUX" instead of CD and the sound will come through the system

OK....as an idea I have come across by accident..when you plug it in and it asks for pc suite or mass storage device, hit the mass storage button and it should work for you.......

need to update ipod with latest software, may need new school ipod

This happened to me. What worked was turning off the ipod (not stand by mode). Turn it back on and plug it in, it should work.

i have a kenwood car cd player. when i hook it up i puy in the security code 3275 but it still does not allow me to play cd or radio. what else do i need to do?

you might want to reset the the raido there is a little button on the bottom of the radio push it in

unplug the ipod, start playing the playlist you want, and plug it back in

That happened to me and the PFD Manual online said it means it's a communication error between the ipod adapter and the ipod. The ipod in my case was totally froze and I had to reset it using the hold on off then holding in menu and select for 10 seconds and it rebooted.

if its the new gen ipod kenwood needs to come out with a new cable. Old cable does not work on video

First, run a chkdsk (or scandisk) to your Ipod from your computer (like any other hard disk drive on your computer)since it is probable that the Ipod's hard disk drive may contain errors. Then, follow these steps: 1.) Disconnect the Ipod from the KCA-IP500(the Ipod interface) 2.) Press and hold the middle button and the top button at the same time. 3.) The Apple Logo should appear. 4.) Reconnect your Ipod to the KCA-IP500 5.) The head unit should display loading and then respond to the IPOD interface.
