Hello

Thank you for using FixYa for your problem

Always check the batteries first but if is it still giving the same fault, your camera is faulty.
It should be taken to an authorized repair centre for a repair estimate. Very few digital cameras have any user-serviceable parts.

Please rate our solutions and if you still have problems please call back for more ideas to help you

Hi, well firstly, my pictures are really blur and un-focused when i take them from a distance away. secondly, my developed photos have black border lines on both sides of the photo or 1 on the left/right...

I have the same issue with the borders being black , i think its because the 24/24 setting ie square shot is selected and the developers print on rectangular paper ,I may be wrong. On the bluring have you changed the focus on the front or have you got it set on B as both may have this effect . hope it helps

There's something wrong with the focus of my camera. Everytime I take a picture it's blurry and it won't focus unless I zoom in. Is there a way for me to fix it?

ensure finger is not covering auto focus.

ensure camera is not in macro setting. look for icon like a flower this is only for close up shots and will cause bluring if subject is too far away.

check that camera is set in auto focus and not manual focus mode if it has this.

I hope this was helpful.

Sometimes when taking photos the photos are fine and sometimes they are really blurry. Why is this haening?

this may not be the camera but the lighting situation of the photo. or how the camera is held this also happens on film cameras.
if the subject is not well lit or the flash fails to go off or is blocked by a finger then the shutter stays open longer to get enough light to see the image. if the auto focus apature is blocked it will not focus on the subject and will come out out of focus
if the camera moves in the time that the shot is taken it will blur.

if the blufing is from left to right or up and down it means the camer moved during the shot.
if the whole picture is blured all over this looks like being out of focus and not due to movement.

check your IOS speed setting for your camera if it is set low then the camera will needs a lot of light or show shutter speed to capture an image. set it to auto or higher than 100 is best for most situation

if the camera is set to manual an not automatic the camera will only shoot at the set shutter speed and this can cause bluring.

try some test shots on a table or a tripod and take several shots in automatic mode with auto focus on take them one after the other they should all be the same but if one is blurred then there is a problem with the metering of your camera if they are all fine they it is due to camera shake when the picture was taken.

a few tips.

hold the camera to the eye with the elbows against the side of the body.
in dark lit places try to use a tripod or some other support or external light source or flash.
ensure the fingers are away from the auto focus apature the lens and the flash light.

G9 focus problem

Sounds like the camera will need to get serviced. The site that specializes in these is camerasandparts.com and that's where a lot of people go for help with these. They're excellent if you need help with a powershot.

Blured photos. Canon Ixus 950IS

Is th camera shake indicator on when you go to take pics? Are you pressing the button half way to allow the camera to focus?

Actions shots are blured

The various solutions include:

try to set focus range (settings), to infinity or to an approximate distance to the object you need to take a photo of as sometimes the automatic setting does not always do a godd job at focusing , or look at the lens when it is on if its got grease use a wet camera lens cleaning kit (someone touched the glass of the lens ) a s grease makesa it hard for the camera to focus , hence blurrig or go into your options and lower the iso mode or take it off night node if any as the iso mode leads to high exposure time which means any light that changes would record as a smear hence blurring or use flash.

A70 -Blured Image In Photo Shoot Mode. Local Camera Shop reported "Screen Is Bad" Not An Economic Repair. What say yee? Thank you!

a powershot A70 for me personally is worth it to be repaired, but like they said, it is not economical because it will cost you.

now the blurrish images may be caused by a bad lens or a bad focus mechanism.

usually, for others, you may try to check if the focus is set to "auto-focus" "macro" or infinite", just make sure it is on focus and the ISO settings to auto as well.

for shutter speed, put it to the fastest, if playing around with the settnigs did not work, then you go to "hardware" part of the issue.

if you have other questions just lemme know okay.

Clear photo

Is it day or night? If the latter, a good tripod will do wonders! How are you using the focus? Auto or manual? What is the shutter speed you are using? Please provide more details! :)

Cam blured

look and see if there is a way to adjust the focus on the camera. On some logitech cameras that center lens piece can rotate, allowing you to change the focus.

Blured video on S200

This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check the following two links for more info:
