My kicker solo baric is moving to the bass but is not putting out any sound. I've swapped the subs to see if it was the sub but it wasn't. I believe it is the amp but im not sure. The amp is in protection mode as well. What may be my problem?

U definetly have a short in the amp if it is in protection mode the problem with sub is in the amp itself when they go into protection the amp is being over loaded / over heated chances are you have a bad resistor and or cooling motor.

The bad news is that your voice coils could be fried up, basically mechanical failure. Might as well buy a new sub because replacing a voice coil means you got to rip the whole sub apart, very complicating.

My 2006 12" L7 kicker sub isn't working like it should. It simply sounds like an extra speaker and produces minimal bass. All the wires are correct, I have checked and rewired it several times just to make...

On the amp there should be High pass and a low pass setting. Put it on low pass cause if its on high pass or in between it produces normal noted like a speaker. Low pass will filter out all the high frequencies.

I have my l7 solo baric on series mode they sund

Hello rigo11785,

The MTX Thunder 1501D is stable at 1ohm and outputs 1,500 watts RMS into that impedance. An L7 with 2ohm DVC's would present a 1ohm load if wired in parallel and would allow the amp to produce more power than into the 4ohm series load. The problem is that the L7's maximum power handling rating is only 1,000 watts RMS, so if you wire the coils in parallel, you'll very likely overdrive the sub and perhaps damage it. Now, if you bought another L7 and ran the voice coils in series and the subs in parallel, that would be a 2ohm load and well within their power handling capability.

With that amp and sub, I'd recommend leaving the voice coils in series.

Hope this helps.

I have two kicker l5 10's with a 1600 DB SERIES bass dont sound very clear how can i make it clear and loud ?

Make sure to tune the amp according to the subs. Turn all the levels down on the amp, then start with turning up the gain till you can tell the sub is struggling, from there turn up the crossover to around 120hz. Then adjust the gain again as now it will prolly be to high. Also it depends on how you have the subs wired up.

Wiring my kicker solo-baric 15's

The best you can do is connect the dual 2 ohm voice coils of each respective sub in series (4 ohms total per sub) and then connect each sub to one channel of the amp. This will give each sub 1000W, which is the rated maximum from Kicker.
