Asachs493, First go to YOUTUBE and view the longer and more informative video clips of "lcd monitor disassembly" and "lcd monitor repair" to see if you really want to do that!!! Also visit all of these sites:-- www.ccl-la.com/badcaps.htm and www.badcaps.net , www.lcdparts.net Remember tihs!! Replacing "cold-cathode-fluorescent-lamps" may not be the problem!! Your problem may be in the circuit that generates the high voltage that starts and sustains running voltage for the lamps!!! It's called an "electronic ballast circuit" and because it is in a lcd CCFL monitor, it is refered to as the "inverter circuit" (dc to hi ac voltage) The new "curlieQ CFL energy efficient, screw-in light bulbs have "converter" electronic ballasts!!
