My system gives a bluescreen

Hello here is the asus homepage:

http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=P5VD2-MX%20SE&p=1&s=22

Please select your windows system.

The driver can be downloaded, by selecting the driver and click on global for download.
The files needs to be unziped before you install.

Blue screen of death means you have a driver issue, or missing an inportant system file.

Look in the device manager, for any drivers missing.

Try first to upgrade your graphic driver.
Visit the graphic cards homepage, for downloading the new driver.

You sometimes have to do this in failsafe mode, by pressing F8 when the pc is booting.

Good luck

I just upgrade my processor from Intel E4300 to Intel E5500 using motherboard ASUS with type P5VD2-X, but now, I can't boot my computer. Is it because the motherboard not support Intel E5500? Pls advice

Hello, I am the technician that will be assisting you today. My name is Norman-Wynne Damstra.Welcome to Fixya, Tim.

I think that you will need to upgrade the BIOS software for your mainboard.

This will increase support you new processors, it would be best for a computer technician to flash the BIOS for you.

Click here to download the latest BIOS for your ASUS mainboard.

Click the BIOS heading and then click the latest one being the top one. Click Global to download.

Take care!

HI!Could you write me the graphics cards that supports the asus p5vd2-mx se motherboard?because i have a problem with asus 8800gts.when i fit the card, the pc doesn't boot up,while when i fit my old...

Its is possible that the power supply isnt powering the graphics card, because of the power needed to run the fan and gpu. It is a more updated card than the 8600gt with more graphics processing speeds and capabilities, so it is possible you will have to buy a new power pack with more wattage.

Msi n9800gt(geoforce)video card problem

Could be your BIOS version doesn't support that grahics card. Try instaling MSI LiveUpdate and flashing your BIOS (LiveUpdate download here: http://global.msi.eu/index.php?func=downloadindex)
If that doesn't help, maybe try another graphics card in the system, see if it'll boot.

I want better gaming quality for my p5vd2 mx motherboard

You can get "any" type of PCI-X graphic card to your system, it doesnt matter if the memories on the graphic card are ddr2 ddr3 ddr4 or ddr5. It should work. If you have a C2D processor @ 1.8GHz you probably have Intel E6300. You can pair it with any graphic card. Its only up to your budget.
