Have X3 Zebra 140Xilll printers. These printers will stop printing with a message "Error condition Paper out". But the paper is loaded. Everything seems fine. What can I do? Thanks Steve Rolland

You can get paper out messages if your media sensors are not calibrated. Go into the LCD menu and perform a "Media and Ribbon Calibrat". The LCD will tell you what to do step by step: Load backing, remove ribbon, load ribbon. If you are not using a ribon, just hit next. One reason that these sensor values can get out of whack is that your printer may be set to calibrate on head close or power up. Consider changing these values in the LCD to Power up = "no motion" and Head Close = "feed"

I would also suggest upgrading to the latest version of firmware from Zebra.com .

Check and clean the sensors, also the reflective surface. Make sure there are no lables stuck to the reflective surface. Use Isopropyl Alcohol to clean.

Paper out error

Have you tried a full media calibration from the menu (removing 8" of label from the backing)? Also if a label has left any pieces behind on the rollers, strike plate, etc it can cause this problem. I use a solvent like Goo Gone to make it clean, but be careful not to wipe the sensors with it. Also I have seen this when my users miss a roller when loading the ribbon. Make it clean, load it carefully and usually it works.

I have a zebra 140Xilll printer that keeps displaying "out of paper" error but it has paper

Do a calibration from the panel and check that your paper remains under the sensors when printing.

I have a Zebra Z4M printer. We use it to print on various labels - pre-printed and blank labels (semi-gloss). I've been struggling to print on one of the pre-printed labels. Everything else prints...

some labels are hard to calibrate, nee to calibrate the sensors with manual calibration.
1} go to the MEDIA AND RIBBON CALIBRATION,
2}take 2 or 3 labels from the base paber, load the way to the based paper stay unther the sensors, 3}close printhead.
4} press ok.
5} Move the ribbon out from sensors and close the printhead.
6) press ok
7) wen printer ask RELOAD ALL, load the labels correcly and the ribbon, close the printhead and the top door, and press ok. The printer run the calibration it self.
wen finish, saved (press setub twice) and test.

Zebra 110Xilll Plus Printer Not Recognizing Media

You can run the manual calibration from the menu , just follow the directions. Also run the sensor profile to print out the digital representation of the media sensor .If you are using standard label stock this should tell you if the transmissive sensor is good. Depends on the media, follow the users manual if different media requirements.

Zebra s4m error condtion paper out

Sounds like you will need to perform the calibration procedure.
when you access the menu system go to advanced menu, the password is 9999, use the keys to navigate to manual calibration and follow the instructions. when it states load backing this is refering to backing paper, so remove the labels from the backing and place in label path. hope this helps
