Sounds like you're just in the wrong printing mode. Go into your front panel setup and search until you see
PRINT METHOD:
THERMAL TRANSFER.

Press the arrow buttons until it says DIRECT THERMAL, then save and exit.

Go to www.zebra.com and download the S4M pdf user manual. It guides you how to change configuration.

its connect to network? its doing the same if u connect direcly to computer with usb port?

the ribbon sensor it activated, change settings from lcd panel to Direct thernal, and check if settings from driver are correct, Thermal Transfere if using ribbon, Direct thermal if doesn't use ribbon, ru calibration if needed, or if doesnt work, you can do the manual calibration and/or reser to factory default. There a number of things that can cause that: 1) wrong printer driver was installed 2) cable to printer is faulty 3) wrong port was selected when the printer driver was installed
