Master Account I have an account on the playstation 3 right....and i go through the guide to get an account....but it says i need to have a master account in order to create a sub account.....any ideas?

"From the top level of the PlayStation 3 Home Menu, go to Settings > [System Settings] > [Restore Default Settings]. Once you select [Restore Default Settings], you will see a list of settings that will be restored. Scroll through them and press torestore the settings.Jul 20, 2017"

If you search Google for: "factory reset a PS3" you will find only 1,920,000 other results.

Deleting a master account is simple, just be logged in as that account, highlight that user in the Users list, hit triangle and select "delete". After confirming that user will no longer be on your PS3 (this will also wipe your sub account, most likely).


Now, make a new master user in the Users list with the name you want and go to the "sign up for the PlayStation network" logo in the PlayStation network section. When going through the process select "master account" and enter the log in details. You most likely will have to use a new e-mail address as I do not believe you can upgrade a sub account to a master.

call ps3 technical support and they will help you its probably a sub account/master account issue.

PS3 reset to factory settings.

Power On. Then press and hold until it shuts down again. Now press and hold the power button until you hear....1 beep..... then 2 beeps....release. This will put you in the service mode. Select option to reset system to factory settings.

log into your account, then on the users section, create new user

Are you sure your friend doesnt have any connection problems at home? Or try and change your account from sub-account to master account to invite friends to play online on ps3.

make a master account. Your account is a sub-account. By making a master account u have to make ur date of birth over 18. This will allow u to play and talk online. Thanks

This sounds like the account you are on is a sub account and not a master account. Sub accounts, I do believe, do not have access to the wallet system.
