Dvd drive is missing when installing window 7?

why windows 7 when 10 is heaps better and is a free uprade to windows 10 from windows 8 just go to settings update and do it for free. i'm in the insider program for windows. as all ways install all exe's as admin then you have no problems.

it seems to be missing drivers or corrupt driver, or faulty external DVD, do try plug usb cable in different ports

When you saw "restart to load windows" are you restarting with a windows 7 DVD in the drive?
If so you may have to press F12 as it boots in order to invoke the boot menu and choose DVD as the temporary boot option.
Then follow the instructions for installing windows.

If you did not receive a DVD with purchase the recovery partition was on the drive which may have been wiped with active kill - you could order or borrow a DVD or install Linux.

you need to load the device driver prior to starting the install as it looks as if the windows installation drivers do not support your DVD drive. Get the driver on a USB stick and load it at the first of the install.

You have the incorrect drivers installed for the CD/DVD drive. Ensure that the drive is compatible with Windows 7 and got to the manufacturers website for the drivers written for Windows 7

This is a problem with the install disk of windows 7 you have i have had this problem in the end i had to download a different copy of the windows install disk off the internet.
This is due to a issue with drivers with that specific dvd drive and a early version of the windows install disk.

Your windows operating dvd installer is damage. It just the CD/DVDROM drive cannot read your DVD installer because it have too many scatches in your DVD. Just get new OS dvd installer and repair your windows 7 operating system or reinstall the operating system.

If u r using cd to install the os there might be 2 cds for windows 7. so pull out the first cd and insert the next one when it stops and says cd.dcd is missing.

windows 7 will still be released next month. are you using the beta version?
