Hi Boss, My Laptop Dell Vostro 1014 Bios Password

Herer's an answer I found with a Google search: Remove CMOS battery. Removing the CMOS battery like the one shown in the picture causes the system to lose all CMOS settings; including the password. To do this, locate and remove the CMOS battery from the motherboard for at least five minutes, then replace the battery and turn the computer back on.

You can't. The keyboard is always on. The only thing you can do to not allowing the keyboard to work is disconnecting it. If you use a USB Keyboard it might help you.

Missing opareting system

When you saw "restart to load windows" are you restarting with a windows 7 DVD in the drive? If so you may have to press F12 as it boots in order to invoke the boot menu and choose DVD as the temporary boot option. Then follow the instructions for installing windows. If you did not receive a DVD with purchase the recovery partition was on the drive which may have been wiped with active kill - you could order or borrow a DVD or install Linux.

Cannot log in using control-alt-delete on Dell Vostro 1014

It sounds like this, indeed, is an issue with one or more of your keys. Check for obstructions that may be preventing your logon combo keys from fully depressing. Also check the full board for keys that may be 'stuck', especially in and around the mouse pad area and space bar. I think it's possible to configure your bios to recognize external devices, such as a USB keyboard, during start-up, but not certain. Have you tried to access bios by using the function keys (f2, f8, etc...) while booting?

Shift and cntrl keys are not working .Please help

It might be that you have by mistake turned on the sticky keys on the system. Sticky Keys is an accessibility feature designed for people who have difficulty holding down two or more keys at a time. When a shortcut requires a key combination such as CTRL+P, StickyKeys will enable you to press one key at a time instead of pressing them simultaneouslyI would suggest you to check whether the sticky keys are turned on. Follow the steps mentioned below.a. Click on Start and click on Control panel.b. Click on 'Accessibility Options' and in keyboard tab make sure that there is no check mark near 'Use sticky keys'.c. If there is a check mark then remove it and then click on Apply. Also check to see if anything is stuck under keys - cleaning the keyboard using a vacuum cleaner (AT VERY LOW SUCTION) could help

Plugged in not charging and continuously battery

I had a Dell laptop that would not charge. I replaced the power pack and it worked for a while, but the problem came back. So I tried wiggling the connector at the computer when plugged in and it started to charge. Dell said that the connection on the mother board was loose or worn and needed a technician to fix. I taped the connector in place so that it charged. However, first use a volt/ohm meter to check that indeed the voltage output at the connector that goes into the computer. Look on the power pack for the output voltage and make sure it is delivering what it says it is supposed to be. Just be aware that the output voltage is DC not AC so set the meter to read DC Volts. Hope this helps.
