My iball 4gb pendrive suddenly stop working. but my pc detect it as a removable disk instead of my drive name.when i clik the reemovable disk it gives a msg "please insedisk into drive"G". also the light of my pendrive is off. kindly help.i also use the utility softwre "UFDUtility" of iball company. but it show the msg "the device is not plugged in". kindly help

Connect it to other usb ports on pc,if still not detected then go to disk management,open run and enter diskmgmt.msc press on ok,.Now right click on it if you find it and format the device,you can also try it on another computer and see if it works.

Note: If the light on the device is not on /blinking then its definitely dead and can no longer be used and you will keep on trying ion vain as also no data can be recovered from it.

Try inserting the pen drive into another computer to see if you can open the data on this pen drive.
If not you may need to format the pen drive.

just try hp disk fomet utility and formet

Assuming that you are using windows, go to drive management and see if the pendrive is detected.
If so, right-click on it and format it.
Or look for the HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool and use it.

It seems your pen drive is not formatted or corrupted. Take it to some other pc go to run and type cmd check what is the drive letter that pc has given to it and type format H: or whatever it is your pen drive may recover. Else you have to get a new one.

right click my computer.
click manage
selest disk management
right click to drive-H
select change path 7 name of drive
change it to any letter except lettur used for your other drives
thats it it is done.

4GB pendrive detected but when we want to open it shows please insert a disk into disk H:

pen drives generally have 3 to 5 years warranty, if your pen drives are not detectng on other systems also, its better to replace it

Sir: Transcend pen drive 2GB not getting detected Can you suggest anything?

My 2gb hp pen drive showing please insert drive error. Also property showing free space 0 bytes. Please send me hp recovery tool or any equivalent tool to solve the same problem
