I used to have a Linksys WPC54G. Thia is normal for the LinkSys WPC54G. How ever in your configurations make sure everything is enabled. But as this being a wireless adapter you should make sure you use AdHoc Mode configurations and set it to channel 6 works the best and set it to G-Only mode not mixed..See the network light blinks and it should be flashing fast for it to conect. I had this same problem. I decided to reconfigure my Linksys to AdHoc and it seemed to work better form me. For as the secure links I set them at non secure and I manually set up my IP Address which is 192.168.1.01-255 Sub net mask is 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway is 192.168.1.1 DCHP Server is also 192.168.1.1 I do hope this helps if it doesn't I say try moving your laptop around until your Wireless Network enables. there is always Tech Support on Linksys.com also. Good luck and I hope this works for you.

The provided software is running in the background, otherwise Windows won't connect to anything. However, if I try to connect to a network USING the provided software, it doesn't connect to anything either. I have to have the software running, but use the Windows XP UI to connect to it.
I am, however the provided software does not soly work. It must be running in the background for my computer to connect, however, I can't connect to the network that way. I have to connect through the Windows XP wireless connector, with the provided software running in the background. I havn't had this problem before. It just started randomly doing this. However, it only does this to Wireless networks.
Are you using the provided software?
