My GE Dishwasher model GSD1300N10WW doesn't clean dishes, glasses and silverware. Everything has a film on it. I think the tower sprayer might not be popping up but cannot tell.water does spray from the...

Hi

If the water inlet valve is fine and it fills with water then the issue seems to be with the float switch assembly that is bad and should be replaced. Float assembly is found inside the dishwasher's tub, on the bottom. The water that fills the dishwasher lifts the float, and when it reaches a certain level, it acts as a trigger for the float switch. The float triggers the float switch to shut off, thereby shutting off the flow of water into the dishwasher. A defective switch may interfere with dishwasher's filling and/or draining ability. Use voltmeter to test the switch. Set the device to the ohms setting x 1. Take each probe and touch them to one switch terminal each. This should produce a reading of either zero or infinity. Continue to touch the probes to the terminals, and press down on the switch's button. The reading should change to the opposite extreme. If the switch fails either of these tests, you should replace it. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Hi...my Maytag Jet Clean doesn't seem to be actually cleaning anything. Especially the glasses and crystal. They are coming out with a sort of white film on them....lip prints still in place...still...

The upper spray arm attaches to a tube in the back of the dishwasher. If the support clamps come loose, the upper spray tube will not be flush with the tube and can't carry water to the sprayer arms. Also the sprayer arms can become clogged with paper remnants, bone fragments, or pieces of peeling. You'll need to remove the sprayer arm and flush it at your sink. If there is a jet that is clogged, tweezers will help remove the residue.
Also, make sure the water temperature is 140 degrees.
I hope this helps. If it does, please come back to Fixya and rate my answer

White film on glasses and plates; I have cleaned tubes and nothing is blocking. is it possible that it is too much calcium/deposits; or a ring/gasket in the bottom sprayer that pre vents the water form...

Hi
White film deposits are observed if water is hard or when you are using more detergent than needed, try filling detergent cup half way. Try using white vinegar after the wash cycle is complete, run a complete cycle. Also turn down the heat on the hot water fed to the dishwasher. Try using water softener for better results.
You can also add vinegar in the final rinse cycle.
Hope this helps... Please post back if more information is required.

Frigidaire Dishwasher FDB2810LDC1 not draining

Sure its redeemable if you have the time and money. If I understand you correctly when you move the lowewr spray arm the water drains out? If this is the case then more than likely its a pump motor or solenoid. Reason I say this is on the bottom of the spray arm is a impeller and under that is filter and then pump impeller that drains the water. If its not draining but will by hand then its your pump motor or solenoid. When you start the washer then press cancel/drain do you hear anything? Maybe a humming sound. One more thing could be a thermal fuse for the motor. These are usually not resetable its a one time fuse if it blows you have o buy another one.Hope this helps

Need to clean under-side of scanner glass plate - How?

You may need to take the entire cover off.
If you have the manual, there might be some info about doing that in there.

If there are no screws on the top, I would flip it over and check for screws on the bottom. If you post your make and model, I might be able to find specific info for you.

Cleaning inside glass door, kitchenaid range

you do no tneed to remove the top to release the glass, yea aslong as the lower trim is removed then the only thing holding the glass, is the grease/sticky rubber gaket. lift up from the bottom slightly and twist out from the tabs. just be carefull when cleaning inner door glass, those "ridges in the paint, are just that paint, so dont use anything abrasive, youll ruin the finish!
