Kitchen Aid diswasher controls don't work

The Button is part of a switch control (all the buttons are individual switches) - take the switch block out of the door and test the button (switch)for circuit continuity, if it is OK, then the timer control may be the problem. My machine had progressive failures through the various cycles until most do not work and it wa the timer that was failing bit by bit.

Top shelf not cleaning

kenp, did the repairman check the screen where the chopper is located? If this screen becomes clogged with gunk, water will be restricted going to the center arm and you will either have slow or no roatation. He would of had to remove the lower spray arm, filter and accumulator assy. to get to this. I had one the other day with the exact same problem and the chopper screen was plugged completely. If your dishwasher is not working right, you have 1 year warranty, parts and labor. You have a case for them to come back. Catriver...post back

No water flow through dishwasher

No you need to clean out the spray nozzles with an old toothbrush etc both top and bottom and also clean out the debris filter below or at the heating element at the bottom of the washer. Then run a bottle of dryright etc. to help clean up the buildup in the machine. Then do this once or twice a year from now on and that washer should work great. Hope this helps.

Leaking Dishwasher Help!

hi there,
dishwasher leaking might be due to either of these causes, check these:

Main tub seal
Note… If the main motor of your dishwasher is mounted vertically, beneath the center bottom
of the dishwasher, the following instructions probably apply to you.
But if your motor is mounted horizontally, the pump isn't serviceable--you need to replace the
entire pump and motor assembly.

The main tub seal is beneath the drain impeller. It prevents the water in the dishwasher from
leaking out near the shaft of the motor. To get to the seal, which is inside the dishwasher,
remove the:

* Lower rack
*Spray arm
* Spray arm support
* Wash/drain impellers

Then try the seal out of its housing and replace it.

Door gasket or seal
Over time, door gaskets and seals harden and lose their ability to seal properly.
You can't repair the seals. You need to replace them if they've begun to leak.

Water-inlet valve
The water-inlet valve, itself, seldom leaks. But, the water-supply line from the house and the
rubber tube leading from the valve to the inside of the dishwasher may leak. Tighten
or repair/replace these as necessary.

The water-inlet valve could mechanically stick open. When that happens, the water continues
to flow into the dishwasher, which then floods your kitchen. Turn off the water supply to the
dishwasher, and replace the valve.

Hoses
Behind the lower access panel on your dishwasher are several rubber or plastic hoses. If the
leak appears at a connection, try a new clamp. If that doesn't work, replace the hose.

KitchenAid Dishwasher Model KUDI25CHBL1. How do I get the screw out of the bottom without it spinning

It sounds like the water inlet valve has stopped letting water in. With no water the spray bar won't rotate as it is driven by the pump. Generic videos.

Kitchenaid dishwasher sani rinse won't turn on

Same issue here. WHAT WORKED FOR ME was simply unplugging the dishwasher for 15 seconds (no idea if 15s necessary), and plugging back in. Viola!

I have a small pin hole in the bottom of my kitchenaid dish washer which is stainless.. Can the bottom pan be replaced or does the hole need to be patched?

If the hole is small you can seal it with epoxy putty. Clean and abrade the area and after mixing the putty make sure it is pushed well into the hole and if possible smoothed over on the underside. Two types that will work.

Kitchenaid KDPM604KPS dishwasher stops minutes into cycle

I couldn’t find any error code 2H but I did find an error code H2O. This code means insufficient water pressure. If the display reads 2H, it usually means the start delay function is turned on. The dishwasher will turn on in 2 hours if door is closed. This dishwasher is advanced. To understand all operations you should read the user guide or manual.
