The top screen will need replacing.. this is a very fiddly task, unless you are confident at fixing things probably better to let an expert do it otherwise you may end up causing more damage

The top screen is worked by a strap thru the hinge, it looks like you may have damaged it, if you look on the internet you can but a replacment screen with the strap, you can also get instruction on how to do it and what tools you will need, if you dont think you can do it, their are places you can get it fixed, just look on the internet.
Either 2 things. Your Wireless Wifi Board has gone bad or it has fallen off.
Open up your nintendo DS and look for the black wire connected to a small board. You will know because there are only 2 wires running in the DS. A white one (microphone) A black one (wifi)
This WIFI board (if gone bad) causes the DS to cut on, but get no video at all.
A black spot means the top LCD screen is cracked / broken unfortunatelly for you.
If you are technically inclined you can buy a replacement in any online store and replace it by yourself but its a bit complicated as you practically need to carefully dissasemble all the unit to do that and would need at least some skils, a special thomson 3 windings small screwdriver (sometimes the same store sells it) and small blade and philips screewdrivers. You can find a video and instructions to do that over the web and decide if too difficult for you.
