Skjessie the first thing I always advise is to turn the breakers off then back on. Electric dryers use 240 volts for the heating element only. The motor is 120 volts. If the dryer still isn't heating, then you may have a bad heater, tripped thermal limiter, or bad control unit.

if the clothes are damp then I would disconnect the vent tube, and dry a load of clothes. If they are dry then the vent needs to cleaned. Hope this helps Tim
First and foremost check your vent! Make sure it is nice and clean and clear especially if the clothes are coming out warm and damp at the end of the cycle. If the clothes are cold at the end of the cycle or you find the dryer stops heating about 15 or 20 min after you start it then you will want to replace your gas valve coils. If you need more help in replacing the coils feel free to ask!
The Dryness Level allows adjustment of how damp or dry the clothes are at the end of the cycle.
Make sure the correct Cycle has been selected for the type of fabric being dried.
If the correct cycle is selected and the clothes are still coming out too damp, use the Auto Dry Level button (Kenmore) or Dryness Level button to increase the Dryness level.
If the highest Dryness Level setting was selected and the clothes are still damp, the Customer Focused Drying Mode settings that are built into the machine can be adjusted.
Dryers come from the factory set to Drying Mode 1 (default). Drying Modes 2 and 3, include additional drying time. Note: This change will affect ALL Auto Dry cycles.
Machine MUST be in Standby mode before beginning. (Standby mode = Plugged in, Power off)
To select drying modes, momentarily press the Auto Dry Level button (Kenmore) or Dryness Level button (Whirlpool) again. The dryer will beep, and the display will flash and show the next drying mode number.
With the door open and the display flashing the desired drying mode number, press the Start button to save the drying mode and exit diagnostics.
Press the Pause/Cancel key at any time to cancel changes and exit from this mode.
You have checked a lot already ... thanks for the comlete story. Often the questions here hurt for detail.
Are your clothes getting hot?
Two reasons for not getting dry ...
No heat
No air.
You need warm air (heat and air) going through your drier to achieve dryness.
Sounds like you have no heat. Are you properly setup on the control panel (you selected heat)? You have physically inspected the entire exhaust sustem including the outside vent, hose and lint trap - absolutely clear ...
If the dryer has been cleared of lint. the lint filter area is clear and the vent is fine then the timer is probably bad. Why? because a lot of current goes through the timer and most of the time the contacts in it get burred or burnt. Unless you have a bad breaker I would advise replacing the timer.
Make sure that your vent tube is not kinked or crushed behind the dryer and it all this is ok then you need to change your cycling thermostat. is it gas or electric
Are you sure that the duct is clean and free flowing? If the duct is partially blocked the dryer's efficiency drops dramatically. I would double check the duct at both ends and clean out as required - air flow is very important - with the dryer on - go check the air coming out of he duct outside - if it is very forceful - then the problem is elsewhere - however if only a little bit of sir is coming out - your all plugged up!.
Most common cause of this is a clogged venting going to the outside to test this remove the vent from the back of the dryer and run a load if it drys ok them you know you have a venting issue and will need to be cleaned out if not plz repost and we can look deeper into it
