be sure not to plug-in the pci adapter before installing the driver, here try this install first the driver of the said pci adapter then if ask to restart the computer restart it, then turn it off, now install the pci adapter then turn on the computer it will now detect the adapter then follow instruction on the screen, thanks
I had this same problem this weekend. This is a 802.11 B card. It can use WEP and WPA for network security/encryption. You can find the driver here -> http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-67214
Once you download the file run it and install. Your wireless card will then work.
Note: This adapter will not support WPA2 type network encryption. It will only run at speeds up to 11Mbps on the 2.4GHz band. Make sure you have set you router to support this older format.
Hi. what i did was connect an ethernet cord and went into device manager and selected update driver and connect to windows update and it got me the correct driver which i just downloaded and am using now. the driver is Realtek RLT8180 WIRELESS LAN (Mini-) PCI NIC. Good luck.
