I am connecting Sansui VRDVD4001 in between my tv and satellite receiver. I had it connected the same way at my previous address and it worked perfectly. now I cannot get video or audio. The satellite receiver and TV work just fine.

did you read the part that said it worked perfectly before? I have already tried what you suggested with the three part video cable, it did not work. Do you have any other suggestions? All components are on channel 3.

Thanks for your response. I was just at a friend's house for a Christmas visit and talked to her husband about the issue. He said the same thing happened to them when they upgraded their cable serivce. He said I may have to change the tv channel to 4 for the dvd player, instead of channel 3 that works with the satellite. I just got home from their house and decided to give it a try...and I am now watching a dvd. Who would have thought....

I would not put this between the sat and tv not recommended anyhow rather use RCA plugs because of the simple fact the tuner on the VHS might be on channel 4 make sure its on 3 and the tv is on 3, see if you connect this to the sat you will experience issues

Make sure if your going to do this you take the line out from the sat that otherwise goes to the tv and put it into the line IN of the vhs then from line out to the tv, the tv on channel 3 make sure the vhs switch on the back is on 3 is it has one that is. if that does not work try to hook this up via red, wht, yellow cables se prate from co axe.

Thanks I hope this information does help please do click the accept button.

My only other suggestion would be to ry it on a different TV. if that does not work the the device is defective or went defective. There are no more ways to skin a cat here as far as this machine. If it worked before and now it does not work and your connections are just fine then there is a issue with the device. I suggested try a different way of hooking it up if that did not work ether then that confirms my thought that the device is in malfunction.

    Thanks I hope this helps.

I have a 19 " sansul cant get my ilive sound bar

I hope this helps. You have to connect your sound bar to your cable box/satellite tv receiver. If you are connecting with composite or component cables you connect the video cables (either the yellow or the green blue and red cables) between the television and the cable box /satellite tv receiver. Then you connect the red and white audio portion of the cable between the cable box/satellite tv receiver and the sound bar. You are going from the OUTPUT of the cable box/satellite tv receiver to the INPUT on the television and sound bar. You use the function/source/input button on the sound bar to choose the space you plugged the cables into on it or listen to the radio or listen to your IPOD and etc.

I am trying to hook my tv up....what settings do I need to watch direct tv???

If you have a Sanyo TV with out audio/video connections, you will be using an RF connection cord between your TV and the satellite receiver. You will operate your TV on channel 3 or 4, match this with the channel 3 or 4 on the receiver box.If your TV has audio/video input connections, you will need to purchase rca connectors. They will have a red connection for right audio, white connection for left audio, and yellow is your video connection. The color codes will be on the input connections on the TV and the satellite receiver as well. You will than program the TV to input one or two, of the TV to receive the signal from the receiver. Use the satellite remote to control channels on the receiver box. When you are through watching TV, be sure to shut off your TV as well. Thanks for asking and show a few hands of support!

No sound

tcolson,

good day, make sure your RCA red and white marked cable connected to TV screen audio input where you also connect your yellow cable which is the video.

note: always remember color code of RCA cable

yellow = video
red and white = audio (left and right)

connection would always be:

video device yellow RCA socket = TV yellow "INPUT" socket
white and red RCA = TV white and red "INPUT "socket
make sure that all this 3 cable are connected together in a specific "A/V input"

cheers ,
