When I plug it in to charge, it says, "battery full". But as soon as I unplug it, the power goes off and I can't get it to turn back on until I plug it back in.

This appears to be a battery problem. While the chair is plugged in you are able to turn it on because the batteries are being charged and as long as the battery level is high enough the controller will turn on. When you remove the power source(the charger) the batteries are not holding the charge and your controller will not come on. Replace the batteries for starters. Then if you continue to experience this, I would look at the charger. If the batteries are more than 2 yrs old, I would replace them.
Ifthe rechargeable battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be wornout. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cyclesand will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up atall.
ORThe battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected thebattery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time.
Ifthe battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to bereplaced.
hi
you might check battery first. sometime battery goes bad. if not then main pcb is the problem.
your local repair shop could charge around $50 depend on what they really want to charge.
Thanks...best regard!
No JJR all the plugs need to remain plugged in. On the Pride chairs the light on the charger will only come on green when the batteries are fully charged. When you unplug the controller the charger thinks the batteries are fully charged and the light comes on. Now the problem is the batteries. If they are old or you have a bad battery then the charger never senses a full charge so no green light. Hope this helps
The battery may show "full' but still not hold a charge, so that when you unplug it from your computer, it goes dead. I assume you hold down the power button for several seconds and it still doesn't power up? Most likely, you battery is defective.
