My mpc t1200 wont charge and also when it was charging before the AC/DC jack would always get really hot as well as the charger head
U have a battery with shortcircuit,
1st u need to test the charger without battery inside, for temp. and computer functions
2nd u need a battery spare, and test the same
if continues, send for repair shop for test and checkout
Sounds like your charger is not working, also it could just be your battery is no good. To check if it is the charger,remove the battery and see if the computer works with just the charger, if it is, it is your battery.
