Camcorder won't charge up

I've replaced the battery - still doesn't charge, and now I've bought a new ac power adaptor and it still won't charge.

Camera has a few minutes of battery remaining, but as soon as I connect adaptor it switches off and remains off with no charging up. It's the same with both new and old adaptors.

Yeah, that's what I thought. It's a sony handycam DCR-HC24E. This is really cool to help like this!

Its problem of DC-IN jack where you hook ac charger. This jack needs to be replaced.
Let me know exact model of camcorder to provide you part number of DC-In jack.

  • Anonymous Jan 19, 2009

DC-IN jack part number is as follows...

    1-815-792-11 CONNECTOR, DC-IN (7.2V)

Qualified tech can replace it because it requires apart camera and little solder work.

Battery won,t charge

the price of KLIC7001 $29.00 try to purchase the battery at wallmart target or at kodak.com/go/shop.,
how do you charged your camera USB cable or AC adaptor? if USB cable make sure that the Cable is working fined and the USB port of a computer is not defective., If the AC adaptor., try to clean the 3 metal contacts of your KLIC7001 using clean dry cloth, then charge it again. if its failed., try to test first the camera itself using different KLIC7001 if its not charging it means the problem is on the camera not the battery

My hitachi camcorder says I need an AC adapter/charger

Hi Riannasmail,
You need a camcorder to charger DC cable,it looks like a battery with a trailing cable that has a DC plug on the end that plugs into the Hitachi battery charger. If you are in the USA you should be able to buy one for about $8 to $12,if you live in UK you will be ripped off at about £24.
I made my own adaptor and charger system for less than £20,If you need more info please contact me.

Battery will not charge compaq presario v5000

I would try replacing your ac/adaptor (power plug) before troubleshooting any further. It sounds as if the adaptor is faulty. Check eBay, you can get a replacement for less than 10 dollars.

Hi I have DRC-SR200 camcoder, bought one year ago. Issue is lens cover is not opening. On the LCD display there is a message "lens cover not fully open. Turn off and on". I tried that but no use. Went...

Hi, perform the following steps to get this issue resolvbed... 1. Check whether the lens cover is opened 2. check whether the battery is fully charged. If the battery is not fullly charged, connect the Camcorder to the wall outlet using the sipplied AC adaptor. 3. Then, try resetting the Camcorder by pressing the RESET button using a sharp-pointed object while the Camcorder is turned ON. 4. If the issue still persists, turn OFF the Camcorder; then remove the battery pack and discinnect the Ac adaptor from the Camcorder; slide the POWER switch to the ON position for 1 minute. Then, connect the AC Adaptor tro the wall outlet and cjeck whether it helps.
If the issue still persists, service of the unit may require. contact the manufacturer of the Camcorder to get ut serviced.

The camcorder won't come on.

Can you plug the camcorder into the wall via the provided dc cable and your ac adaptor? If so your battery terminal cound have gotten bent, or a fuse link could have opened up inside. check above test first.

Labtop not charging

Try removing the battery and see if the laptop powers on. If it still doesn’t power on then either the motherboard is defective or the AC adaptor may have a broken wire in the cable.
